Hello, I'm Anna!
Are you enjoying your yoga life?
Although it is November, it is still a little warm during the day in Fukuoka.
It feels like autumn is getting shorter and shorter, which makes me a little sad.
I love the vibrant colors of autumn in Japan.
Well, aren't you worried about how easily you might get sick as the seasons change?
This time we will introduce warm-up yoga!
Let's try "Warming Yoga" together to warm up your body from the inside and boost your immunity!
Warm-up yoga is perfect for the upcoming cold season as it warms up your body while relaxing.
Let's use a little bit of time each day to help build up our bodies' resistance to colds and viruses.
The effects of warm yoga and the mechanism behind boosting immunity

Warm-up yoga is a type of yoga that warms the body, promotes blood and lymphatic circulation, and boosts the immune system.
It is especially useful for improving physical discomfort that occurs when you are prone to feeling cold or during seasonal changes.
Warm-up yoga is performed in a relaxed state, and its unique feature is that it warms the body gently, improving physical condition and boosting defenses against colds and viruses.
Through this yoga class you can get the following benefits:
Increased circulation: Gentle movements and stretches loosen muscles and improve blood flow.
This allows nutrients and oxygen to circulate smoothly throughout the body, creating an environment in which immune cells can work more effectively.
Increases lymphatic flow: Light poses gently stimulate lymphatic vessels, helping to expel waste, reducing body weight and improving immune function.
Adjustment of the autonomic nervous system: By focusing on deep breathing during warm yoga, the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, promoting relaxation of the body. This reduces stress and stabilizes immune function.
3 recommended yoga poses to warm up your body
Here are three yoga poses that will warm your body from the inside and boost your immunity.
1. One-legged cat and cow poses

From a kneeling position, extend one leg behind you.
Inhale, and as you exhale bend your knees, round your spine, and draw them in towards your stomach.
After a few breaths, bring your legs back down and arch your chest slightly, aligning your spine.
Repeat this movement 4 to 6 times, then do the same on the other leg.
2. Table Pose to loosen your hips

Get on all fours and lift one leg out to the side with your knee bent at a 90-degree angle.
Slowly draw circles with your knees, loosening your hip joints and focusing on your butt muscles.
This helps improve blood circulation and prevents chills.
3. Dragon Twist Pose

While kneeling, step one foot forward and position your knee so that it is directly above your ankle.
Place the opposite hand on the inside of your foot and as you inhale, lift the hand on the same side as the forward leg toward the sky, opening your chest.
Using your hands, draw large circles to deepen the twist of your upper body and loosen up your shoulders.
